Policies

DCL prides itself on how we operate.  Quality and safety are two of our most important values. We strive for a Zero Harm culture and actively encourage our employees (including contractors) to adopt this way of thinking.

We have an extensive range of robust policies (extracts are shown below) which are applied to all areas of our company.  These policies are supported with a varying number of appropriate procedures as part of our Quality Management and Food Safety systems.

Community Relations Policy

DCL recognises its responsibility to balance the business needs with the needs of the communities in which the company and its staff work.  DCL strives to develop strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect with the communities in which we operate.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

DCL acknowledges our responsibility and commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all staff on all sites.  Our primary aim is to identify, prevent, eliminate or more effectively control the cause of accidents and health hazards, either minor or major that may occur by eliminating substance abuse in the workplace.

EEO & Affirmative Action Policy

Our EEO and Affirmative Action Policy ensures all employees and applicants are treated fairly.  DCL believes that it is the right of every employee to carry out their job in an environment that recognises merit as the basis of employment. Selection is based solely on an applicant’s ability to perform the inherent requirements of the job.

Environment Policy

DCL is committed to fulfilling its contractual obligations in a manner that is environmentally responsible.  DCL strives to minimise environmental impacts (where possible) in all areas of the organisation.  DCL believes sound environmental management practices benefits all stakeholders including employees, clients, neighbouring and broader communities and is an integral part of our business.

Food Safety

It is the policy of DCL to meet or exceed our obligations under current legislation in respect to food safety, (both State and Federal) in Australia.  The quality system of DCL focuses on the delivery of safe quality foods and products to our customers.

Health and Safety (Zero Harm) Policy

DCL believes achieving a Zero Harm culture originates from adopting the correct attitude.  We ask our employees to make the choice to work safely. Employees of DCL are encouraged to adopt this belief and actively participate in our goal to achieve a Zero Harm culture.

Indigenous Australian Policy

DCL has established and continues to maintain a good working relationship with Indigenous People who may be affected by the company’s operations.  DCL believes that effective management of indigenous matters forms an integral part of successful operations.

Prevention of Workplace Bullying & Harassment Policy

DCL believes that all employees have an individual right to dignity at work and should be able to work in a safe environment free of bullying, harassment or violence.  DCL is committed to providing a workplace that is free of bullying and harassment of any kind.

Quality Policy

To help us achieve our quality objectives DCL has adopted a quality assurance programme that conforms with AS/NZS ISO 9001 - 2008 with HACCP plans aimed at ensuring safe food practices.
