Our Company History

DCL has been involved in providing remote camp catering and village management services for mine sites, various construction, exploration and temporary government work camps in most parts of Western Australia since 1972.

Martin Jones and Michael Jones jointly owned DCL from 1988. Due to the retirement of Michael Jones the business was put on the market and subsequently sold to Baptistcare in July 2009.

Baptistcare was the largest client of DCL’s sister company, Aurum Catering & Management Services, and acquired both companies.  Baptistcare had been a client of Aurum's since 1995.

Baptistcare is a West Australian not-for-profit charitable organisation with a combined annual turnover of $75 million on an asset base of $150 million.

As a result of this acquisition, DCL's corporate structure now resides under Ohakune Holdings Pty Ltd, as the trustee for The Ohakune Charitable Trust. Accordingly, DCL is now a "not-for-profit" organisation returning its surpluses to the WA community via its parent, Baptistcare.

“Our mission is to work with our clients to achieve a mutually beneficial partnership, act with integrity, honesty and professional courtesy whilst delivering the highest quality services, which exceed our clients' expectations .”
